You can contact me at contact@yemaferreira.com or connect@vutukahouse.com.

1. About the consultation

The consultation is a free, 30-minute conversation intended to give you an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, ask questions, and explore whether working together may be appropriate.

The consultation is not a psychotherapy session.

Booking or attending a consultation does not establish a therapist-client relationship and does not create an obligation for either you or Yema Ferreira to enter into a therapeutic relationship.

If we agree that psychotherapy may be appropriate and you wish to proceed, therapy will begin only after you have received and agreed to the separate Therapy Agreement.

2. Booking a consultation

Consultations are booked through the online booking calendar provided through GoHighLevel/FEA Create.

When booking, you will be asked to provide your:

  • name;

  • email address; and

  • telephone number.

You are responsible for providing accurate information so that I can contact you and provide the consultation.

After booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing the information required to attend the consultation, including the Zoom link.

You may cancel or reschedule your consultation using the link provided in the confirmation or reminder email.

3. Consultation reminders

You may receive automated reminder emails before your consultation.

These communications are administrative and relate to your appointment. They are not marketing communications.

4. Confidentiality

Information shared during the consultation is treated as confidential.

The consultation is not recorded.

Confidentiality is subject to the professional and legal obligations that apply to psychotherapy and to any applicable exceptions to confidentiality. Where relevant, these limitations will be explained during the consultation.

For information about how your personal data is processed, please see the Privacy Policy.

5. The consultation does not provide emergency support

The consultation is not an emergency or crisis service.

I do not provide emergency mental-health support through the website, booking system, email, text messages, WhatsApp or the consultation booking process.

If you are experiencing an immediate emergency or believe that you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service in your location.

6. No guarantee of acceptance as a client

The consultation is an opportunity for both of us to determine whether working together may be appropriate.

Attending a consultation does not guarantee that I will offer you a place in therapy.

I may determine that another professional, service or type of support would be more appropriate for your circumstances. Where appropriate, I will communicate this with you and may suggest that you seek another form of support.

Likewise, you are under no obligation to begin therapy with me following the consultation.

7. Communication before therapy begins

Before your consultation, you may communicate with me by email, telephone, SMS or WhatsApp where appropriate.

After your consultation, I may contact you regarding your decision to proceed, including sending you the Therapy Agreement and information needed to arrange your first therapy session.

These communications are part of the consultation and enrollment process and are not a substitute for therapy or emergency support.

8. Consultation no-shows and cancellations

There is no charge for cancelling, rescheduling or missing a consultation.

If you do not attend, I will normally wait approximately 10 minutes before ending the consultation.

You may book another consultation if you wish to do so.

9. International consultations

People living outside Denmark may book a consultation.

However, the fact that a consultation is available to someone living outside Denmark does not mean that Yema Ferreira Psychotherapy provides psychotherapy in every jurisdiction.

If you live outside Denmark and wish to proceed with therapy after the consultation, I may need to determine whether I can lawfully and professionally provide psychotherapy to you in your location.

At present, I do not provide psychotherapy to clients residing in the United States due to state licensing laws.

10. Website content

The information provided on this website is intended for general information about Yema Ferreira's psychotherapy services.

It is not intended to constitute medical, psychological or psychiatric advice, diagnosis or treatment.

You should not rely on information on this website as a substitute for appropriate professional or emergency care.

I make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and information accurate and current.

However, I do not guarantee that the website or its booking system will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical problems.

I may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or booking system when necessary.

13. Third-party services

The website and consultation process rely on third-party services, including booking, email and video-conferencing providers.

Those services are subject to their own terms and policies.

Information about how personal data is processed through these services is provided in the Privacy Policy.

14. Privacy

Your use of the website and consultation service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected.

15. Therapy Agreement

If you decide to begin psychotherapy, the therapeutic relationship will be governed by a separate Therapy Agreement.

The Therapy Agreement covers matters relating specifically to the therapeutic relationship, including sessions, fees, payment, cancellations, confidentiality, communication and other terms of therapy.

These Terms & Conditions are not intended to replace or duplicate the Therapy Agreement.

16. Complaints and concerns

If you have a concern about the consultation process or the website, please contact me at:

contact@yemaferreira.com

I will make reasonable efforts to address your concern.

17. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the website, consultation process, services or applicable requirements.

The current version will be available on yemaferreira.com.

18. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Danish law, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you under the law of your place of residence.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts in Denmark, subject to mandatory rules concerning jurisdiction and consumer rights.
